The Kelgran Quarries consisting of Transvaal, Tlapa and RID quarries occupy 1 400
hectares of the farms Beestekraal and Boschpoort and were taken over in
2004 by Finstone and RED Graniti, who have significantly re-developed and
expanded the quarries.
The Transvaal Quarries (IN1, IN2, IN3) have a combined annual production
of up to 15 000 m3 per annum of Nero Impala®. The material quarried
is medium in colour and fine-grained with a uniform grain structure.
