Wonderkop Quarry situated in the Marikana area produces 3 000 to 6 000 m³ per annum of medium colour Nero Africa. The material from Wonderkop Quarry has a slightly different grain structure to Nero Impala® with the light feldspars contrasting with the pyroxenes. The high recoveries and excellent block size available from the Wonderkop formation has resulted in it becoming a major source for special order “surface plate” blocks with delivery times guaranteed.
